  • Designed a microprocessor based board, to increase test coverage of Cochlear’s Speech Processor.
  • Used an 80C51 flash based microcontroller with analogue and digital peripheral ICs.
  • Wrote and debugged firmware in C to control the test board's operation.
  • Modified National Instruments Windows based PC software, to improve test time and coverage.
  • Implemented a 50% reduction in test time by profiling and optimising.
  • Windows based software execution in the existing test system software.
  • Worked with Cochlear's engineers to integrate these enhancements into the test system, resulting in minimal disruption to their test schedule.
  • Documented the project as required.
